One-Layer Card

Howdy, Nesters!  After a vacation to Disney World (yay!) and a bout with a stomach bug (boo!), I'm back with a new card to share.  This quick, one-layer card is inspired by the latest class at Online Card Classes, Clean & Simple 3.  After discovering this site about a year ago (here is a review I posted last April), I have become addicted.  If you're a card-maker (or would like to become a card-maker), I highly recommend their classes (I'm on my ninth one!).

Here is my card:

And here is a very quick walk-through of how I made the card:

If you're interested, here are the supplies I used:

Inks: Soft Sand (Hero Arts), Blush (a•muse), Grapefruit (a•muse), Poppy (a•muse), Onyx Black (Versafine)

Stamps: Modern Zinnia (a•muse), Tool-rific (a•muse), Hexagon Background (a•muse)

Cardstock: Sugar (a•muse)

As I mentioned in the video, the whole process only took about 10 minutes, and that includes cleaning the stamps in between ink colors.  This was the perfect project for this crazy week.  :)

What have you been working on lately?  Have you been working on Easter decor yet?  (I really hope I'm not the only one!)

  1. Great card and video Dawn! I love that Modern Zinnia stamp set. One question - where did you get that awesome wide chevron washi tape?

    1. Thank you Melissa. :)

The washi tape was in a Studio Calico kit from a few months back. I'm almost positive it was a custom design from Freckled Fawn. It may be available on ebay or etsy though.

  3. Thank you, Sallee. Maybe Studio Calico needs to bring back that tape. :)
